CrossFit Oakland will be seeing some heavy competition this year. In little over twelve hours, all 75 team slots for the Affiliate Cup have been sold out. Due to the overwhelming response, we are hoping to allow in a few more teams if the logistics can be worked out.
One team that will be gunning for the top prize is CrossFit Santa Cruz Central (pictured from way back in April 07).

I really hope you allow some more teams, there are a lot of disappointed people out here who could not get in in time. I also hope you strive to get a good representation of the country and not just a whole bunch of California affiliates since they seem to have an overwhelming number of affiliates compared to most other states.

75 teams, that's awesome! Thanks HQ I know what a beast this thing is going to be to organize. Wasatch Crossfit will be there representing and we have no doubt we'll crush CFSCC is the final standings. You hear that Eva T??? We're gunning for your crew!
Seriously it's going to be a blast, good luck to everybody and we'll see you in Aromas.

75 teams!!! That is awesome. Can't wait. Question for HQ, if we are registered as a team do we also need to purchase spectator tickets for Saturday and Sunday or is that included?

CrossFit Omaha is hoping to get in. We didn't disappoint last year with getting into the games with a second chance. I don't think we will disappoint if we get into the Affiliate Cup competition either.

Bummer... this blows. I understand organizing this can be chaotic but I would hope you let more slots open up. This week was the final prep for our team of students going. Now we have to think of another idea. Great luck to all that are participating and for CFHQ: I can only hope more slots open.

I'm sure lots of deserving teams did not get signed up in time, bummer they had to limit the slots. Maybe the slots should be limited to the "more deserving" and supportive teams out there. RRG anyone? It seems that if you have the money to put a team up and get them to the games you ABSOLUTLY should have also been able to support the RRG!
I suggest that only teams from affiliates that have participated in the RRG be allowed. Maybe even call the event the RRG Affiliate Cup, how much more of a significant sponsor could we all have?

75 teams is a lot. 450 people! The Ranch is gonna be a madhouse. From the comments here, it sounds like many more would like to compete and didn't realize how fast it would sell out.
