All I can say is Dayum. That was the most solid Fran I have ever seen at that speed. Way to represent the SouthEast, Bionic!
See you in Aromas!

Well done. I was impressed by the time but more impressed that you didn't collapse. You must be on Fran's good side.
Much love and respect from Canada.

Omar, congrats on qualifying. I know how hard you work; I was witness to a few of your duals with Mike G.
What is the reason for the grips you're using in the picture, and in the "Lunch with Fran" video?

Thanks everyone. Much appreciated!!!
Christopher, the pads are to avoid ripping my palms on pullup bars and being out of commission while they heal. Ripping just got old for me so no i use these neoprene 1/4in pads to prevent.

Bionic,
You were moving so fast that I didn't even notice the neoprene pads.

Omar, that was an incredible effort man, nice work. One question; could you bust out a Fran at the same speed without the neoprene grip-savers? Just curious/playing the devil's advocate...

Gaucoin to answer your question, I'm very positive i could if not even a few seconds faster. As i explain to all that question me about these pads...They do not help me in speed or grip strenth or in any way to get a faster pullup. All they do, again is protect from ripping. As a matter of fact it makes the bar close to 1/2in. thicker because they are 1/4in thick, therefore fatigue of the forearms kick in a lot faster than if i was pulling bare hands. So i rather sacrifice my forearms over any ripping of the hands. That ripping shit got too old for me as i stated up top. By all means try them out for yourselves and if everyone thinks its cheating then i'll be glad to do it again without them.

Good explanation; now let's see it without the pads.

The BEST thing I've used to avoid ripping is regular use of a scapel blade to shave those suckers down. About every 5 days. I have not had a "bad" rip in months. Hell....even Russell finally came around to the idea...now his hands can compete with Costanza for the hand modeling job.

Hey Bionic, quick question on where you got the grips, I'm looking at a couple of sites and came across one with your 100 C2B pullups. If you could point me in the write direction that'd be great. Either way good luck at the Games.

Great effort I watch all your videos on youtube. I bought the grips after watching you use them. They are great the tearing of palms was getting old. Good luck at the Games.

Omar,
Glad to see you are among the very, very elite Crossfitters. Good Luck at the Games. Don't let the Peanut Gallery get you down. Ripping your hands and taking pictures and posting them as some sort of badge of courage is patently silly. Not sure how you are supposed to effectively operate as a firefighter/paramedic with ripped apart hands. There's always someone with a comment isn't there? Great job!
Best,
Wally
