Games09JeffLeonardFinalsOHLunge.jpgJeff Leonard won the NorCal Regional Qualifier, and finished 14th overall at the 09 Games. He won the Snatch (240lbs, a 15lb PR), and came in second in the Row/Sledge (4:42) right behind Tommy Hackenbruck.

Jeff is a firefighter, and this past weekend won the July 18th Fremont, CA Firefighter Challenge with a time of 1:28.81. Notice that the only other sub 1:30 time was by Brandon Cunningham.

This was just six days after Sunday's final Chipper (pictured). Jeff had time called as he was on the final drill (Overhead Walking Lunges). He lost a chunk of time on the muscle-ups. At 6'3", 235lbs and in his eighth event in two days, the 15 MUPs came in singles with all-out kips.

Congrats Jeff on a stellar performance and on the Firefighter Challenge win!

Thanks for the great comments guys and to Crossfit for the recognition. Hopefully the Combat Challenge does not throw muscle ups in. Everything about the Crossfit Games is a true inspiration to work hard, most of all the people.

Thanks again

Jeff
