Yeah, I'm with you, Ken. Tosh kinda disappeared from all of this somehow. His competitor profile is gone and he's not on the final list of athletes. Perhaps he got deployed. If that's the case, it would be a shame for the Games, but great for America - with a beast like that on the front lines, we can rest easy.

Still, it would've been great to see him compete...

I'm sorry it has taken so long to communicate the news that I would not be participating in the Games. I think at some level I was hoping it wouldn't have come to this. The reason is that I will be participating in an exercise during the month of July with the Marine Corps. I have had to put a priority on my service and obligations over my personal goals and desires again this year.

I am extremely regretful for the lost opportunity but also, more importantly, for letting down all the amazing support and people counting/ cheering for me. The community has been wonderful and are top notch here in SoCal. I feel guilty to have taken up a spot at the qualifiers that another competitor could have had to compete in Aromas and I do wish the absolute best for all the SoCal athletes; it was an honor to have been surrounded by them for a short while.

It would have been a privilege to represent the Corps at the Games but will leave that to Mr McCarroll. Semper Fi SSgt...
