Day 1 Full Results

Saturday WOD1: "Every Rep Counts"
As many rounds/reps in 20 minutes of:
10 Wallballs (20/14 lbs)
10 Box Jumps (20")
10 Deadlifts (205/145 lbs)
10 Burpees

WOD2: "The Kanadian"
For time:
1K run

Sunday WOD 3: "Pick it Up and Put it Overhead"
For max weight:
Barbell extended and controlled overhead, 3 attempts to reach a 1RM
Placement based on SIFF weightlifting formula which uses max successful lift and bodyweight to rank athletes.

WOD 4: "Jackie"
For time:
1K Row
50 Thrusters (45 lbs)
30 Chin ups (chin over bar)

Scoring:
Scoring of each WOD is based on the BOCCIA World Ranking System which awards points for place finished i.e. 1st place: 15 pts, 2nd place: 13 pts, 3rd place: 11 pts, 4th place: 9 pts, 5th - 8th place: 7 pts, 9th - 16th place: 5 pts, 17th - 18th place: 3 pts, 19th + place: 1 pt.

What to go Crossfit Vancouver! Awesome work Joy, Petey, Andy and Max. Great job at representing! Looking forward to watching the final day. Should be a good one.

No OPT's or AFT's, although OPT's brother is running away with 1st place! AFT's wife had a baby on Thursday but he wasn't planning on competing, regardless.

Nope, not as far as I know. His wife had a child in January so they are plenty busy these days, but I think he wanted to focus his energys on creating a great qualifiers and he's done that. It's going off so well right now, the organizers should be very proud of that. The support from the whole CF community has been amazing. One more event to go!

Unbelievable work by Joy, sitting in first place with a five-point lead, one WOD to go.. Congrats to Max, who won the lifting heat.. Cheers to Andy and Pete, sitting in third and fourth, respectively..what a great showing!!

thanks for the info gaucoin. definitely sounds like it was an incredible event. at the same time i was very much looking forward to seeing OPT in action, it is always amazing to watch him crossfit. must have been hard for someone as competitive as he is to make the choice to sit.

at least he has avoided all the unfortunate stuff that the bainbridges have had to deal with...
