Sorry, but if the actual DVD has that "angry 15 year old boy" music in it, I ain't buying. It's tired, immature, and ruins the viewing in my opinion. Take a look at almost any of the old crossfit.com WOD videos - they used great music! They didn't need the ridiculous "look at how angry and hard I am!" death metal trash. :(

Roy,

You also could have politely turned down the volume on your computer and watched some amazingly fit people and not poopoo'd someones hard video production work.
I understand your point, I do not really like the music either, but those are things we can all keep to ourselves.
No hard feelings though.

The video itself _looks_ great - but I'm not going to buy a DVD just so I get to watch it in silence. I'm not poo-pooing the production in its entirety, just the music choice.

I was just (perhaps a bit too curtly) pointing out to the people producing these videos that in my opinion, music like that makes Crossfit look a bit silly, particularly to non-crossfitters. I'm not quite sure why I have to keep that to myself. It's just my opinion.

My money is still on Commando Steve for the games though ;)

RoyG - I'm with you. Steve will be really dominant although it will depend on what they throw up on the weekend. He should get top 3 in a very classy field. Not sure what music they will put to the DVD but I cant wait to relive the 2 days, hopefully a little more ear friendly :-)

Hard to go past Josh everett and chris spealler. But I have to agree, Steve will give it a hard push, and if Mikko Salo's numbers are correct he could be the dark horse. May be lucky to get a yank in the top 3.

RoyG:
Wow....what do you mean death metal trash? First off that was not death metal... second death metal is not trash... there is good and bad in every genre and while this vocalist is not the best of his genre, the music behind him was incredible well put together and fun to listen too. While it might not be your pump up music it is the workout music of choice for alot of people (me included) who cant workout very hard to country twang and Mexican tuba songs. That's cool that your not going to support CrossFit FX or CrossFit in general by buying the dvd good for you, but dont put down something that you dont understand.

Pat, who are you trying to fool ... we all know you work out to country twang as soon as no-one is filming

Dito what Barber said! Can't wait till the video is released.

By the way since when is Australasia region sending 6 athletes to aromas? Were we not only allocated 4 positions this year?

Better tell work you need a week off Dougie if they want 6.

Pat, you crack me up... But I think the guy is right, Lawerence Welk would be so much more suitable. Or maybe Johnny Horton's ballad "North To Alaska" now there is some pumping music for ya.

Arm chair quarterbacks, gawd love me.

After watching the trailer, it looks like Austrailia is gonna need more than just 4 spots for the 2010 games. Damn, they are some fit peeps down under.

So enlighten us, what genre or sub-genre of music was that anyway? It's rather foreign territory for some of us...

I'd classify that particular song as melodic metalcore. And not a very good example of it. Too over-produced and generic. Not so bad that I'd stop a workout to skip the song, but I wouldn't buy the CD either.

Is every guy in Australia that good looking??? HOLY CRAP!

Hot guys with hot accents......I think I have to take a trip Down Under. Hopefully it would be reciprocated....

He was a dark horse Pluk. He was put in the early if not first heat and took his place in the back corner and just quietly smashed all his workouts.
