A few odd observations of the photo:
-Idk how those guys tolerated such long hair in the Florida heat.
-I love Bionic wearing the Crocs.

Expressive photo. Something is just screaming 1970's. Maybe it is just the guy with the head band. Who is that ?
This is the 2009 regionals right ?

I wonder if there's any more CrossFitters over 6' and 220 lbs who qualified?
It was a great weekend and hard competition!

Sean just started CrossFitting a year ago. He did not want to at all. He lost a bet last March with his wife Mariah Provost(who also qualified). If he the lost, the deal was that he had to workout at our gym 3 days a week for a month. It has been so cool to see Sean & Mariah's hard work pay off. Btw, he's sported the head band since day one.
Props to our friends at CrossFit Huntsville, Atlanta affiliates & everyone that played a part in this event! The Dirty South was well represented!

Is there anywhere to find the results with actual times and not just the points system?? I just tried WOD#2 (5:15) and was just curious how I matched up. The winner of that WOD is listed at 256, so I thought his time was 2:56 (which I think is physically impossible) then I saw some listed as like 284 or something. Is this total seconds? That would mean 256 is actually about 4m 15s, which is much more realistic. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

It is in total seconds as you thought. 4m15s was the best time

This was an amazing event... the competition was brutal but great to watch and be a part of. As someone who finished somewhere around 50th.. I still have a lot of work to do before next year. But can't imagine anything else I would want to prepare for. To all those who competed, you are true STUDS (and that is not gender specific). To those who judged, orginized, supported... YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!! This is how fitness and working out should be done.

We are re-defining what it means to be CrossFit and what it means to be a CrossFit Athlete.
These guys were not just phenomenally fit, they had to manage the competition mentally. Adrenaline, crowds and nerves got the best of a lot of fit people, and these guys handled all challenges like true athletes.

By the way, I know that a lot of people are going to be doing these workouts and posting their times and saying "damn...I would have beat this guy or that gal".
In respect of the athletes, please remember to keep your times in context. Not only were these WODs done in succession on one day, they were done outside in 90 Florida heat and humidity.
Also, until you've tried rope climbs, wall balls and double unders with 100 random people screaming at you, a loud speaker blasting music at you from 10 feet and a certified CrossFit trainer hawking every rep...you haven't completed these workouts as Rx'ed.

Well put....the element of being at the games definately adds a degree of difficulty. One of the best experiences I've had. Thanks to all that participated, along with the judges and organizers

What a time I had at the Dirty Dirty. First off, the whole event was nothing but Class A on organization, judging, design and experience. All athletes and spectators were very supportive of each other and it really showed what CrossFit is all about and this booming community that is exponentially growing day by day.
Even through the hot heat, everybody and I mean everybody even the ones who didnt qualify or that scaled the weight put in work and BUSTED SOME SERIOUS ASS!!!
Well done Jmac, Tommy, Mike, TJ and all others who played a part in putting on such a stellar event. Now lets go rep in Cali Southeast peeps.
