Wow, compared to the Nor Cal workouts, I gotta say all these other qualifier's workouts look absolutely adorable. You men and women are capable of much, much more than that. Timid programmers, what a waste.

Dutch's time on the 50 pullup/burpee workout was very impressive. Doing 50 straight burpees at that speed is unreal.

wow for the girl next to Dutch in his vid, who's that?! Gorgeous. Dutch never ceases to amaze me. And Jason you are crazy, let's see your vid of those workouts and tell me it's a waste. Every time I hit the Filthy I meet Pukie on the 50 burpees part.

I swear this was my first post grambo. And my message is only directed at some of the WODs, not the firebreathers who qualified. They woulda ripped through much harder WODs as well I'm sure. I just think they deserved to be challenged more than what some of these WODs asked for. For just about everyone, THESE are the games. Woulda been nice to see more epic WODs because of that.

Awww, no video of Boag?
Congrats everyone. Well done.
Jason, how about the heavy grace plus 500m rows, that takes the Sunday workout from last year's games and ADDS rowing. The others are still hard, I'm glad they tested that high end output.

Any chance you'll post the times for WOD#3/full results? Would like to see the times for Sunday.

Great weekend, awesome Spectacle, and the WOD's were a great test of capacity to develop the 5 men and women from this region to fairly go to the games in California.

Jon and Patrick from Again Faster, what a great job you did filming it and nailing the drama as it unfolded. Very good looking interviews.

To all those that qualified, you did an incredible job and you gave it your all and wasted nothing. Incredible work and incredible job now get ready for more In California.

Polly! What a great person! Just met ya and I feel like I have known you my whole life, you were such a great person and athlete all weekend.

The qualifier was a great experience. We didnt miss a beat with the weather. The athletes worked hard, and I cannot say enough about the staff. Every judge I had was fair, clear, and motivating. Thanks to the staff and congratulations to my fellow athletes. When I try to describe the programming to my friends I always tell them that you cannot really get a handle on the intensity and difficulty unless you experience it and after this weekend I still believe that. For the participants who qualified-you deserve it and I look forward to supporting you as represenitives of our region in Aromas....
Again -

That is Linda from Crossfit Dallas Central. Due to misinformation from the judges, she ended up having to do the 3rd workout TWICE. She rocked it.

let me correct you on one thing... The work out order was explained clearly during standards, and mandatory registration Friday night. Also posted in writing on the main sites. I think it is highly unfair to put it all on the judges shoulders, she bares some of the issue at hand but not all of it.

The athlete themselves bare responsibility as well for knowing and performing the order explained.

That said, Linda did indeed rock it hard and here time differences were negligable in the second attempt. If she had not had the 10 burpee penalty in her second attempt she would have only increased her original time by 6 seconds or so. She was a WARRIOR no doubt. And all in the house were proud of her.

Consistancy was the order of the day and in the end that was what needed to ocurr and it made it uber fair for all.

Thanks for everything! The event was amazing, in all regards. I can only imagine the time, effort, and energy that was put into preparations for this awesome event. Outside of browsing the net and making the dot com workouts part of my daily routine, this was my first introduction to CrossFit, and what a great one it was!! I am sold.

Thank you for providing individuals, like me, a platform to compete!

I agree that we competitors had to take some responsibility. I thought that Linda was lucky to have the chance to redo the WOD and to not have been disqualified which would have been understandable. That said, I thought she was a trooper doing the WOD over until she purposefully threw the bar down in a very unsportsmanlike manner and then looked ridiculous slamming down to her chest for the 10 burpee penalty. I was much more impressed with Jill from Body Armor (San Antonio) falling about 10 feet directly onto her head on the concrete in the midst of a downpour in heat 8 of WOD #2 and getting up and completing the WOD with time to spare (after sitting on the concrete for about 2 minutes to get reoriented). Now that is a true Crossfit WARRIOR!!!!!!!!-no doubt!
Great qualifier!

LS - so wonderful meeting you and seeing you hit it hard. You are such a natural athlete and I was amazed to see you go thru the paces. Inspirational for sure. If we can ever do anything for you please let us know.

PS - CF set the platform out, we just provided a venue. Much love to you guys.

I entirely disagree with your assesment of Linda. She did not purposefully throw down that bar. You can see it on her face when she realized that she let that bar drop uncontrolled. I witnessed it and have the up close video of the event to prove it. She was not wanting to do that clearly. And she stepped up and cleared the burpees out.

I for one was very impressed with her. She stepped up and handled the decision well. She is an athlete, period! Linda is the real deal - she handled it well.
