Just want to thank everyone involved with running this event, from Jeff T. to every judge. It was first class and exemplified everything that crossfit stands for. The judging was tough but accurate and ensured quailty of movement and the community was awesome. Good luck to those who qualified and I can't waith for next year!

Congrats to every single athlete that competed. The weekend was amazingly brutal. The people at this event rocked. The spirit and energy was through the roof.
A special thanks to Jeff T and all the volunteers. This was a huge logistical undertaking and it went off with complete precision. Impressive!!

Jeff T. thanks for a great weekend and some tough programming....that was just flat our mentally and physically exhausting. The weather could not have better prepared us for California. Congrats to all those who qualified. The group of athletes that showed up this weekend all meant business and brought their A games. Great job everyone! See you in Aromas.

Just curious - what happened to Blair on day 2? He was killing day 1 it appears, from his times.
Congrats to everyone! Very inspiring to those of us who don't belong there yet. :-)

I must say that I was impressed on many levels with this Qualifier.
-I had no idea there would be such a huge turnout and that there were so many top notch CrossFitters in the area. Josh Wagner is right, everyone who showed up this weekend was there to compete, no doubt about it.
-I was also very impressed with the judging. They didn't let you get away with anything but 100% ROM, and Jeff Tincher was right, those box jumps nailed a lot of people, including myself.
-Andy- Blair was unnatural up until the very end. He was in my heat on Saturday and the guy was walking away from his last round of box jumps just as I was rounding the turn from my last 400m run. He just seemed to hit a wall on the CTB pull ups, but he has 2 months to practice those.
- When Ben Smith walked away after the last workout I congratulated him and asked him what his time was, but he just shrugged and said indifferently "I don't know" haha.

Congrats to everyone of these athletes. The competition was stiff and the judging was tight. This event was run flawlessly. Those six men and women earned those spots, the programming was legit and the athletes were amazing, everybody who showed up was there to win. I can't say enough about this event, and the intense atmosphere. It was off the charts. Pat you are a monster, glad to see you headed to Aromas!

Kudos to the organizers, volunteers and judges for making this a first-class event. Especially Chris, from Crossfit Fairfax, who was my judge for 2 of the WODs. Chris wasn't just counting my reps. He was in my head, pushing me to go beyond what I thought possible. Did I rank among the top competitors? No way. Did I push myself like never before? Absolutely, into unchartered territory.
Congrats to Jon, from Potomac Crossfit (PCF) for making the top 6. It was a real privilege to be a part of the PCF team. A guy couldn't ask for a better group to train with.

On the volunteers/judges - thank you all so much! You did an amazing job. I know it must have really killed Sean Dunston and Karen Douglas to not be competing, but they, along with everyone else busted their asses for us. The judges were very professional, but every bit as great as you'd expect from a Crossfitter. It was absolutely great to have the same judge who pulled reps from me be the one yelling at me to get back on the bar! By the end of the WODs I barely knew my own name, let alone some of the judges, but thank you all!
On the athletes - This was the third Crossfit competition I've been to, and the caliber of the athletes has vastly improved with each one. I know a lot of folks who showed up to the mid-atlantic challenge to just have fun and a good WOD or two. No one was there to do anything but place this weekend.

To those of you who've asked me what Blair Morrison's weak spot is and how to beat him:
his weakness: its his wardrobe. he wears clothes. i recommend he stop that at once.
how to beat Blair: hit him in the head with a lead pipe when he's aleep. otherwise, he's going to dominate and make it look easy. a true tiger in a human suit.
a shout out to the competitors who put it all on the line and delighted the crossfit soul.
Caleb: you are all heart, intensity, accomplishment and results. you have my respect and friendship.
Steve Dumaine: BEAST. it was a joy to behold.
Jon Alanis: your limitless strength is just scary. a pleasure to see.
Pat Sherwood: well, need i say more than PAT SHERWOOD! All hail!

His training is olympic crossed w a quasi crossfit model from SST in Sac. Blair isnt close to his peek performance in crossfit. Aromas should be amazing.
