WOD #1 looks almost exactly like a WOD I did at Rainier Crossfit back in October called "The Mule", 21-15-9 reps of 315 DL and Chest to Bar pull-ups. My time of 6:14 will probably get crushed by some of the monsters out there!

"Only the top 30 men and top 10 women from Saturday will be moving on to the final workout on Sunday." Seems a little unfair, especially to the women. What happens if the difference between 6th and 11th is under 60 seconds? If the Sunday WOD is something like a Heavy Grace, that difference could be easily made up. I may be wrong but I do not think any other regionals operated this way; everyone had the opportunity to complete the Sunday WOD.

As they say, such is life. I guess we all better do our best to make it in the top 30 or top 10. Looking forward to it, should be an exciting weekend. That final row on Saturday is going to be brutal!

Nor Cal qualifiers....only the top 40 men and top 20 women made it to Sunday.

Looks like a pretty fun setup. And Paul, I think the reasoning behind the number of men vs. women is because there aren't as many elite level women competing as men.

I am attending as a spectator and saw this item on the event details: "We have limited space at the event, the cost to attend for the weekend is $5/person and $10/family."

How limited is the space? I am flying and staying in a hotel for the weekend. I will not be happy if after all that, I'm not admitted due to space constraints. Perhaps someone should have posted this ahead of time and required spectators to register...just a thought.

I'm looking forward to a great weekend! Good luck to all competitors!

Paige,

Do not worry, there will be enough space for you to attend. If you have any other questions you can email me at qualify@roguefitness.com.

Well, Tom, I guess I will change that to "I was wrong." Should have caught that one, appreciate the info. I am looking forward to the weekend, hopefully the top athletes will clearly distinguish themselves from the rest of the crowd. So, if I end up being a spectator on Sunday, do I have to pay the 5 bucks too? ;-)

Paul,

No you will not have to pay to be a spectator!

We allowed 1/3 of the competitors to compete on Sunday, I just posted the number of competitors:

Men - 92

Women - 26

This will be a great event, I look forward to meeting all of you.

Bill

WOD #1 is going to be brutal. Thats a lot of pulling involved. Pull-ups should be expected to gas quickly.
