Charity Vale (2nd overall, pictured) and Kristan Clever (4th overall) were neck in neck throughout most of the second heat of the triplet. Charity took an early lead, but Kristan didn't ever slow down and finally ended up winning the event with 153 reps (6 rounds plus 5 KB swings). Charity was right behind her in second with 148 reps (6 rounds plus 4 HSPU).
After the first heat, Jolie Gentry had the best score with 103 reps (4 rounds plus 3 KB swings). She finished in third for the event and seventh overall.
The workout was max rounds and reps in 8 minutes of:
4 Handstand pushups
8 KB swings (24kg)
12 GHD situps
The HSPU were the primary dividing line in this workout. Kristan and Charity were able to crank them out unbroken round after round. Jolie and Iceland Annie were consistent but slowed to singles in the later rounds. Most of the rest of the women had to rest consistently between reps to regain their strength. Four women were eliminated from the running for not completing a single HSPU.

Great coverage-thank you. Splendid display of "grindin' it out" by all athletes!

I'm impressed by how well the women did on this workout in comparison to the men. Granted, the KBs weighed less, but Kristan and Charity were right up there with Mikko, Khalipa, and OPT, handstand pushups and all.

Kristan, you are my new favorite firebreather. You pumped out those HSPUs faster than I do regular push-ups!!! The GHD SUs were also a thing of beauty. Awesome!
