If you have registered for the affiliate cup, is it necessary to pay the spectator fee for Saturday and/or Sunday?

Some questions for Games staff:

1. Can we park at the site if we're bringing pop-up tents, chairs, etc for our affiliate team?

2. Are coolers allowed on site?

3. Any restrictions as to what can be in the coolers? (e.g., no alcohol)

Does my wife need to buy a spectator ticket if I am competing?
Thanks a lot.

My boyfriend is a competitor so I emailed HQ with the same question. I was told that I had to buy tickets.

If you are a volunteer. Do we have to pay for parking? Seeing as how we arrive early.

Is there a chance that we can get a shuttle to the Watsonville/ Santa Cruz area. And also, do you need a spectator ticket if you are competing in the Team Cup?

This is off topic but I wanted to say the new layout for the Games page is sick! Great Job! Loving the changes/improvements! I love the constant changes and improvements in this community always striving to be better. :-)

I and some others from SF have planned on camping on site for a while now (I was told a few months back by someone close to HQ that this was going to be fine).

Can I get an official word on this to make sure nothing has changed?

I have read a number of places that there is a possibility of camping at the games... What's the best way to substantiate this in the public domain? I realize I could email Deana or Dave directly... yet I am sure they get swamped with these details.

If anyone has the word on this: much appreciated!

Rough schedule for the Affiliate Games to start on Friday? Trying to schedule travel in and would like to know what time things are getting underway.

The days will begin around 8 or so, and Sunday should end around 3 or 4.

Lake, You should have received information on parking for the weekend, and if not then you will receive the info soon.

Scott, yes, anyone who's not competing needs to purchase spectator tickets.

Aaron, we do have a first come first serve tent camping area that you can just show up for starting Thursday and pay for on arrival. It will cost $50 a tent for the whole weekend, regardless of tent size, and you will have access to the showers. Parking is separate and you can pay for that ahead of time on the Games site(keep checking the site for the parking will be posted soon). The camping registration hours are as follows:

Thursday, July 9th: 10:00 am to 8:00 pm
Friday, July 10th: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm

I am expecting to arrive up at Aromas 0230 Friday and will be sleeping in a pickup with a camper shell. Would it be possible to use the camp-site and would it be too late at night to gain access to area?

Just wondering what happened to the page with the shuttle information? I'm still in need of it, is it unavailable now?

What time will the affiliate games kick off? What time should affiliate competitors be there on Friday? I'm carpooling from San Francisco and would like to make plans asap.

24. Tony Budding wrote...

Anyone competing at the Games should plan on arriving no later than 7am. Register the day before your event if at all possible, but if not, arrive even earlier. There are going to be thousands of people coming each day, and traffic, parking and registration will all take time.

26. Patrick wrote...

Is anybody driving from Gilroy (Motel 6) to the games? I emailed Deana and apparently the shuttle service is no longer available (i.e.: it seems like it's fully booked)
